Denison Football Scrimmage vs. Wichita Falls Rider Friday at Munson Stadium

The freshmen will begin at 9 a.m. Each team will rotate offense and defense (Units 1 and 2) for a set number of plays. Number 1 units will play number 1 units. Denison will be in gold; and there are two freshmen teams involved for each school in this scrimmage.

At 10 a.m., the junior varsities will scrimmage with the Yellow Jackets in white. The first and second units for each team will get a set number of plays, which will be alternated.

At 11 a.m., the varsity teams will begin a scrimmage with Denison again in white. Each unit of each team will get four opportunities to scrimmage; the opportunities will be alternated. The first set will be 20 plays with the second set allowing only 10 plays.

After the scrimmage, the teams will play one 16 minute quarter that includes kick offs and punts, but no rush or cover/tackling. On kick-offs, the ball will be spotted at the 30. Coaches will be on their respective sidelines.

Score will be kept and if necessary, an overtime period will be played. During the 16 minute quarter, the direction will change after 8 minutes. Other rules may apply to keep in the spirit of a scrimmage.
